Chouan - the future today

We live in an old farm house with our cats and dogs. The house was built approx. 1795 (the oldest parts) in the traditional style for Danish farmhouses, with living quarters and stable built together (livestock producing heat for the house during winter). Thatched roof gives an ideal insulation - cool in the summer and nice and warm during winter. Built in L-shape with a barn (wooden construction) added to as the 3rd leg. The old stable has been converted into a well functioning kennel with 5 in/outdoor runs and a grooming/eating/sleeping area It is quite unusual that we have so much snow as in the pictures - but when it happens it is very nice!

In summertime we both love being out in the garden - both with and without dogs -But neither of us enjoy gardening! So most of our flowers are grown in pots - and the rest is roses and grass - it easier!

Besides the dogs we have also loved cats and Gunnar have had cats ever since he was a little boy- always a red tabby tomcat called Sigurd!	Our latest Sigurd We miss him a lot, he was a wonderful cat with a great and weird personality!.

Holger works for a Trade Union, handling fraud cases, when not at the office, he cooks, cleans and tries to keep the house (and Gunnar) tidy! He is an excellent cook - but cleaning is not really his idea of a good time! Gunnar works for Covidien Danmark A/S, a part of Covidien Healthcare, when not at the office he "does" dogs!
